🇬🇧 CHESTER Walking Tour | England, UK | 4K HDR 60fps Welcome to this walking tour! This 4k video was recorded during our trip to Chester, England in November 2021. I really enjoyed travelling to Chester, and I hope you will enjoy this virtual tour as well. During this city walk, I visited a lot of major spots in Chester. Below you can find the timestamps links of this walking video : 00:00 Foregate Street 02:05 Eastgate Clock 03:00 Foregate Street 13:00 Brige Street 16:00 White Friars 18:54 Brige Street 21:50 River Dee 23:23 Chester City Walls Walk 28:03 Chester Roman Gardens 29:25 Chester Roman Amphitheatre 31:20 Eastgate Clock 34:40 Eastgate Clock and Chester Cathedral 36:55 Abbey Street 39:52 Chester Town Hall and Chester Cathedral 41:40 St Werburgh Street 43:04 Northgate Street 44:16 Foregate Street 46:20 Frodsham Street About Chester and its tourist attractions and sightseeing: English settlement with the status of a city, modern Chester is the center of the unitary established in 2009, which has united Vale Royal, Neston, Ellesmere, Port Chester and Chester itself. Located slightly above the mouth of the Deal River, Chester has become a major railroad junction and trade center. Despite its modest size, Chester is one of the most visited cities in England. Its history goes back more than two thousand years. The city has been founded by the Romans and for a long time has being the most important military camp of the Roman Empire. Buildings of different eras have preserved in the city; there are interesting museums and cultural centers attracting visitors from other countries to Chester. Founded more than two thousand years ago by the Romans, Chester is, certainly, one of the most interesting cities of Britain. You will find here the proofs of the ancient creation of the city – the ruins (approximately 3.5 km) of the ancient city wall, the ruins of the amphitheater and the remains of the ancient bridge. The city perfectly mixes all cultures that have left their mark on its streets. The ruins of the amphitheater feature stunning looks of the cathedral built in the gothic style. There are also buildings made by the Saxons approximately in the middle of the seventh century. Located at the intersection of Northgate Street, Eastgate Street, Bridge Street, and Watergate Street, High Cross was first mentioned in the records of 1377. On summers a herald welcomes all guests of the city near this cross. This theatrical tradition has a century old tradition and is very popular among tourists. In the city, there are preserved defensive walls, strolling along which is a favorite entertainment of tourists. When sightseeing, you can see old watch towers, the most famous of which is the tower called after King Charles. The starting point of such a tour is the Eastern Gate. You will have to spend more than an hour to admire all the attractions along the gate. Some sites have a breathtaking view of the city and river. Other striking landmark is Chester Cathedral. The first religious building in its place appeared in the early 10th century. Over many years, the cathedral has been repeatedly destroyed and reconstructed, so today it is a unique architectural monument, which reflects styles of different eras. This small English city is famous for its unique cultural traditions; an acquaintance with them will bring a lot of experience to travelers. I believe Chester is a popular tourist destination with developed tourism infrastructure and tourism industry in general. The tourism sector is of great importance to Chester.
