ESL Warm Up [Outdoor Activities]

Some days it feels just too hot to sit in the classroom. If you have a nice patch of ground nearby, why don’t you take them outside and allow the change of scenery to stimulate their imaginations? When the fresh air and sunshine beckon, I’m glad to take my ESL students outside because I know we can still be productive when we are free of walls. Yes, it is possible to learn language while having fun outside. ESL warm-up activities for adults may differ a little from ESL games and activities for kids and teens, but they are of the same importance. Until students are focused, they’re not going to retain new information. Warm-ups provide a way to refocus students’ attention. For example, warm-ups can help if your students are tired from school or work, are stressed or preoccupied with personal problems, or come to class either overly excited or tired. #ESL #Games #Activities
