1960 PONTIAC CATALINA CONVERTIBLE, AN ORIGINAL SURVIVOR

PONTIACS FOR 1960 WERE STILL “ WIDE TRACK“ BUT GONE ARE THE FINS OF THE FIFTIES. THIS CONVERTIBLE IS ONE OF 17,172 CATALINA CONVERTIBLES PRODUCED THIS YEAR. CATALINA MODELS ARE THE BOTTOM RUNG PONTIACS FOLLOWED BY VENTURA, STAR CHIEF, AND AT THE TOP, BONNEVILLES. NOT SHOWN IN THIS VIDEO IS THE 389 CID V8 ENGINE AVAILABLE FOR CATALINA WITH 283 BHP FOR AUTOMATICS OR THE SAME ENGINE WITH 215 BHP FOR MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS. THE CATALINA USED A 122 INCH WHEELBASE AND THE CONVERTIBLES WEIGHED 3,940 LBS. THE SRP IS $ 3,078. THE INTERIOR OF THIS PONTIAC IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE HOWEVER THE EXTERIOR PAINT IS A LITTLE WORN AS YOU CAN TELL BY THE TRUNK LID WHERE SOME RUST IS COMING THROUGH. AT ANY RATE YOU ARE LOOKING AT A RARE ORIGINAL SURVIVOR AND I’M SURE NOT TO MANY 1960 PONTIAC CONVERTIBLES ARE AROUND TO ATTEND CAR SHOWS. THANKS FOR VIEWING THIS 60,000 MILE ORIGINAL SURVIVOR PONTIAC CONVERTIBLE.
