The Sylvers: Disco Fever [Full Album + Bonus] (1979)
The Sylvers were a group of 9 siblings who were signed to Pride Records in 1972 where they enjoyed a few minor hit-singles and released 3 albums. Their major break came in 1975 when they signed to Capitol Records and released their album Showcase, produced by Freddie Perren who had already enjoyed massive success with the Jackson 5. Their first single on the new label was called Boogie Fever and hit #1 on the Billboard Pop & R&B charts. Hot Line and High School Dance from their next album Something Special hit #5 and #17 respectively. When their following album New Horizons failed to produce any major hits, Capitol rejected their self-produced 1978 album. The group, now slimmed down to 6 siblings, signed with Casablanca Records who released the album Forever Yours, including the club hit Don’t Stop, Get Off (R&B #15).
