SHERCO I ENDURO GP 2022 I Portugal Highlights

The traditional Spanish/Portuguese tour marked the start of the EnduroGP season. Our SHERCO team riders arrived in good shape after numerous preparation races on the various national championships and were ready to fight. Hamish Macdonald approached this tour with full confidence, he is the current leader of the Italian championship. In Spain Hamish finished 5th and 3rd in the E2 category, the highest category, he is currently in 6th and 5th place in EnduroGP. In Portugal he had an incredible start to the race, he was leading the race before crashing in the last Enduro test. He was able to finish in 4th place for the day. A knee Injury which he sustained in that crash kept him from starting the race on Sunday. It is not known if he will be able to start the race in Italy, that will depend on the condition of his knee. Antoine Magain and Daniel McCanney are racing in E1 and E3 respectively. Their winter training has been disrupted by injuries and they are not yet at their best. They are 5th and 6th in the provisional classification of their category. In the Junior class Zach Pichon was sensational! Zach simply won all four days! He was consistent and fast. Zach finished the two races as the solid leader of the Junior championship, with times that place him in the top 10 in EnduroGP! A great start for this young rider who is competing in his first enduro season. For his part, Morgan Lesiardo achieved two podiums in Junior 2, he is also a former MX racer and is learning and continuing to progress. Next EnduroGP is in June in Italy. @enduro_gp #WeAreEnduro #EnduroGP
