Israel and Hamas agree to allow medicine for hostages, more aid for Gaza

The deal was mediated by Qatar and France on Tuesday, local time. France’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs says the negotiations had been going on for weeks. The medical packages will be delivered to 45 hostages. In exchange, Israel will allow more humanitarian aid into Gaza. The medicine for the captives is now in Doha, Qatar, and will be transported on Wednesday to Egypt in preparation before delivery to the captives. Hamas seized about 2-hundred-40 people during its attacks on October 7th, with 1-hundred-32 hostages thought to still be captive.
