Buddy Holly’s Last Concert(Feb 2, 1959)

Buddy Holly played his last concert in Clear Lake, Iowa, in 1959 then on that same day Feb 2, 1959, a light plane crashed near the Iowa-Minnesota border, killing Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P. Richardson, better known as The Big Bopper. They had just finished playing the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa. The event later became known as “The Day the Music Died“, after singer-songwriter Don McLean referred to it as such in his 1971 song “American Pie“. This scene is from the 1978 Movie “The Buddy Holly Story“ . I don’t own any rights of this video. Thanks for watching.
