DIRE STRAITS: Brothers in arms (Renaissance lute cover)

An eternal song of a legendary band. Its principal motif, with those sober and intensely moving lines, is simply unforgettable, inseparable from the exquisite sound that only Mark Knopfler has been able to obtain from the electric guitar. In this case I followed a previous transcription of Thomas Hammje and Sebastien Kieffer, which I freely adapted to my lute. The instrument I use is an eight-course (fifteen strings) Renaissance lute, made by Francisco Hervás, Granada, Spain, in 1999.
