My 3-week rock climbing holiday began here, and I can’t believe I’m actually saying this, but I met a family of surprisingly friendly wild marmots! 🤭 It was truly a one-of-a-kind experience and a highlight of my trip. It made me so happy that I wanted to share this happiness with you! When this climbing crag began to be developed, the marmots gradually became friendly with climbers, and that’s how this incredible story began. These marmots have been local celebrities for years now, and this place is always bustling with tourists who come to see these friendly animals up close. But here’s the amazing part - these marmots also get a break from the human hustle and bustle. They hibernate for several months each year, enjoying some peace and quiet.
