I think the art direction/concept is a lil confusing so im sorry bout that but i think its a v fun cool idea so check that out if u need clarification!! orz A video exploring how jayfeather’s powers make him sensitive to other cat’s emotions and how he distances himself and fixates on his work in saving/protecting cats as 1. a med cat 2. one of the Three, and how he gives himself little time to connect with others (even when holly returns he’s too focused on the battle against the dark forest looming near…) There’s more examples past oots series (e.g. leafpool/briarlight’s deaths) but im not as familiar with the later series rip (and also i dont think i could fit em all into this video lol) Sucks abt erin hunter’s ableist writing with jay being unwillingly pushed into the med cat role but i do think its v interesting how he ended up growing into it and becomin rlly dedicated to caring for others… Process of makin this video had so many hiccups cause in the middle of it I switched from an old windows computer to a new windows computer, which meant i had to move all my files And i had to use new up-to-date premiere and photoshop, and premiere was NOT cooperating so i tried Da vinci resolve but i ultimately went back to premiere when it started working again and then it STOPPED WORKING again and i just. Note: When jay is blind, everyone is coloured according to whatever their eye colour is (e.g. squirrelflight is green, leafpool is amber). When jay can see, their normal pelt colour/markings can be seen. When jay is using his powers to sense thoughts feelings, his pelt eyes become the eye colour of the other cat, like how watercolour bleeds into other colours!! Red becomes the symbolic colour of injury/illness/anything that indicates jay needs to care for/save someone
