Underoath - Define the Great Line, Recorded Entirely on an 8-Track (Pioneer H-R99)

So I had the bright (or dumb like all my friends said) idea of taking new albums and recording them to the obsolete 8-track format. Since new albums are coming out nowadays more and more on vinyl and even in cassette form, I thought I’d take it a step further and record the albums to 8-track, maybe I’ll start a , doubtful. After 6 months of searching for a working recorder, I finally found a fully restored Pioneer H-R99 8-track recorder, which works extremely well. I decided to start off by recording Underoath’s entire album Define The Great Line on an 8-track, which turned out great! The sound during the ambient parts such as “Casting Such a Thin Shadow“ and “To Whom It May Concern“ (tracks #7 & #11) sounds so ancient, it’s amazing! I plan on creating a decal label of the actual album art and putting it on the 8-track to make it look legit.
