Supercharged And Street Legal Gremlin - It Looks Like A Funny Car!

A blown AMC Gremlin that is ready for roads or drag racing! It’s not the Hemmi Gremmie being built by David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan, this might be something even more nuts. Mike Orlando has been building this car over the last half a decade, and he brought it to Texas Motorplex (home of the NHRA Fall Nationals) in March in the hopes of making its first runs at the track. Unfortunately some barrel valve problems held him back from making a run, but we wanted to show you this insane build anyway. It’s a Dodge small block up front with a 6-71 supercharger. Amazingly this build is street legal - Mike can drive it on normal roads if he wants! It is probably too wild to be a daily driver, but he would like to take it out cruising eventually. The car was inspired by Ed Roth, whose wild designs like the Rat Fink inspired a generation of hot rodders. Mike wanted to create his own truly insane build, and that was how The Animal came to be!
