A mini tutorial in which I share my technique of ’glazing’ a textured yarn with a very fine layer of silk from a silk hankie. This is a fun way to add another layer to any kind of yarn, the silk makes a light sheen of colour around the outside of the yarn. Silk Glazing can also be done on different kinds of yarns and also at different stages of spinning, it can be added to a single and then plyed or added last on the final ply.
