Mamady Keïta Tribute

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of the Nankama (he who was born for that), our founder the legendary djembefola, Mamady Keïta. Mamady’s health has been deteriorating in recent years. Recently, he was admitted to hospital due to a heart-related condition, which he had been battling for years. His family was by his side as he passed away peacefully in Belgium on 21st June 2021 at the age of 71. #LegendLivesForever. Tam Tam Mandingue Djembe Academy
