LEAP OF LONG MARCH: Chinese Long March-6A blasts military satellite to orbit

JUST IN: China’s 14th launch in 2024] At UTC 22:51 March 26, Yunhai-3-02 meteorological satellite was successfully launched by CZ6 rocket at Taiyuan, Shanxi. It’s also the 514th launch of Long March rocket family. Long March 6A, China’s first rocket with a solid booster was launched two years ago. The LM-6A w/ 4 SRBs turned up again launching yet another Yunhai-3-02 meteorology satellite for the Chinese military at 22:51 successfully launched Yunhai-3 02 #satellite from north China’s Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center via a modified version of a Long March-6 rocket on Wednesday.
