A Foot in Coldwater On the Wind with Lyrics in Description@1972

Track 1 from their self-titled debut album released in 1972 copyright Daffodil Records. The band was formed in Toronto in 1971 by members of three local bands. Their only hit “(Make Me Do) Anything You Want” reached No. 33 on the Canadian chart. The vocals and organ remind me of Deep Purple and the guitar and tight rhythm section make me think of Mountain, both from the same era. Written by A Foot in Coldwater and produced by Frank Davies. RIP Paul Naumann. Featuring: Alex Machin – Lead vocals Paul Naumann – Lead, slide, rhythm & acoustic guitars, bass & string arrangements Bob Horne – Hammond B-3 organ & clavinet Hughie Leggat – Bass, acoustic guitar & background vocals Danny Taylor – Drums, percussion & background vocals Watch out, watch out (P7) Yeah Flyin’ away with the birds, probably on the wind Just like the birds flew away, our long stay drifted away Hope the mountains fly in the sky Only he is from the bird’s eye, yeah
