Best batty grape face EVVA!!!: this is Clawed

Clawed is an adult male Grey-Headed Flying-Fox who was dropped off to me for assessment. He was found on the ground in a courtyard. Initially, like so many newly rescued batties, he was cranky as, and wanted to turn me into confetti, but this was mostly cranky and not a pain response. I decided to occupy his pointy bits with a grape or two to make friends and be able to have a look at him. Thus began a half hour odyssey with him as he decided to go for the record of how many grapes can be fitted into a batty mouth at any one time. It was the best batty grape face I have ever seen. I started with one, which was snatched and attacked angrily, and proceeded until he was taking grapes happily and stuffing them into his mouth. I’m not going to tell you how many grapes he actually fitted in, because I want you to find out for yourself, but it was a LOT. I was extremely surprised.
