Israel has rejected the case at the UN court & says South Africa is collaborating with terrorists

South Africa has filed a case at the UN’s International Court of Justice accusing Israel of genocide. The petition accuses Israel of calculated actions intended to bring about the physical destruction of Palestine. Article II of the Genocide Convention was adopted by the UN General Assembly in 1948 and de-fines the crime of genocide. It has two main elements: Omer Bartov, a Professor of Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Brown University, joins Al Jazeera live from Cambridge. Also, Geoffrey Nice, a barrister and human rights lawyer, explains why South Africa’s case stands out in the history of international law.
