With gratitude and blessings from Kashi Jnana Simhasana Jagadguru Chandrashekar Shivacharya Mahaswamiji, we present to you this educational video that is designed to enhance you in Parayana of Great Sri Rudram. सर्वश्रेष्ट श्री रुद्रम् | Sarvaśrēṣṭa śrī Rudram — the Magnificent hymn Sri Rudram is found in the Krishna Yajurveda (4 kanda-book, 5 prashna-chapter). Sri Rudram holds the root of the five-syllable mantra नमः शिवाय | Namah Shivāya In the 8th chapter. सुप्रसिद्ध पंचाक्षर महामंत्र | Suprasiddha Panchakshara Mahamantra — the great five-syllable mantra that is found for the first time in the Vedas in this special hymn, and this is the reason why Sri Rudram is so powerful. In summary, reciting Sri Rudram is an excellent method of Mantra Yoga and Upasana, which is all about devotion to Lord Shiva. Sadhana is totally required to realise God, and recitation of Sri Rudram is an essential part of Rudrabhisheka, which is best offering to Shiva. Sri Rudram, recited during Abhisheka, contains the greatest number of Shiva’s names and epithets, and Shiva is very favoured when this hymn is recited for him. The main purpose of all sadhanas — is to satisfy God. Therefore, it is the best what we could do on this Kali Yuga — is to learn and recite Sri Rudram daily.
