1) 0:11 1 Octave Diatonic 2) 2:35 3 Octave Diatonic 3) 6:07 1 Octave Chromatic 4) 9:39 3 Octave Chromatic Identify the note played without looking at the screen, open your eyes to see if you’re right. Sing the note out loud and focus on how different each note feels in the “Context of the Key“. Practice everyday and you’ll be surprised of what your ears are capable of. Below is an example of what each note feels like to me. 1(C) Home, stable and finished 2(D)One step away from home, floaty 3(E)Away from home but can find bonding to home 4(F)Far from home, on a different planet, 5(G)Very similar to home, stable and strong bond to home, 6(A)Far from home, but closer than 4(F) different color 7(B)Desire for resolving to 1(C), unstable These expressions are my own personal sensation of what I feel.
