Kanye West ’Champion’ live @ Chicago House of Blues

—Kanye West Foundation’s Inaugural “Stay in School“ Benefit Concert held at Chicago’s House of Blues August 24, 2007, filmed by Kurt Squiers of SQUiERS, LLC and Gregg Ferguson of Current Motion. This performance of ’Champion’ was captured by the duo as Kanye performed for various school kids in the Chicago area. Kanye West returned to the stage -- his 33rd birthday -- to reward three Chicago Public Schools for improving its grades, behavior and attendance. The three schools each earned a mini-concert by posting the highest gains among seven participating Chicago schools, according to the foundation. The Grammy-winning rapper’s mission of the Kanye West Foundation is to help combat the severe dropout problem in schools across the United States by partnering with community organizations to provide under-served youth access to music production programs that will enable them to unleash their creative ability and reach their full potential.
