Custom Carbon Widebody Kit For Tesla Swapped Squarebody - Electric C10 Ep. 14

We’re starting the wide body fabrication process for our Tesla Swapped 1985 C10! Just like the rest of this EV Chevy truck, we’re doing it all at the shop. The first step to making one-of-a-kind squarebody fenders is making some one-off molds. We had Jeff use his 3D design magic to create the layout for our metal bucks so that Donny can start cutting out pieces on the plasma table. We then have the fun of trying to put the giant metal jig saw puzzle together. Once assembled these grid-like structures become the foundation of our molds. After Tim tack welds all the individual pieces in place, we are able to start pouring our expanding foam to fill all of the gaps in our lattice structures. We follow up that foam with layers of fiberglass and a few rounds of bondo to have the smoothest surface we can possibly get! After hours and hours of sanding, we’re just about ready to start laying down fiberglass and pulling parts. It’s hard work, but definitely worth it to get some custom carbon fe
