Sons de Carrilhoes - Joao Pernambuco

This is a re-take of one of the most famous Latin American pieces for classical guitar. I first learned it when I was in high school but now I’m realizing that I never really played it well before (I guess that’s relative...) It is often played way too fast in my opinion and it should be more relaxed with making the accents stand out. Played on a 1980 Cervantes model 500 guitar made in the workshop of Masaru Matano in Japan. This guitar is a great copy of a Ramirez 1A from the same time. Recorded with a pair of Apex 460 microphones
