Springboks V. England (1932)

Full title reads: “Twickenham - Springboks V. England - South Africans win thrilling Rugby International by 7pts. to nil!“ Twickenham, England. The Springbok team runs out onto pitch in front of a massive crowd. They throw a rugby ball around as they come out. The England team then run out in their traditional white playing kit. One of the players stumbles as he runs out. High angle shot pans from the packed grandstand across to show a L/S of play. A South African player throws the ball in from a line out. A short piece of play ensues. High angle shot of a scrum. The ball comes out to the English team. One of the English players is tackled as he runs forward with the ball. The South Africans get the ball from a scrum. They run towards the England line and nearly succeed in scoring a try. The ball breaks free and is kicked away by an English player.
