DIY Filament Extruder for 3D printer first test run !
This is how my filament extruders runs. It outputs between 4-5m/min.
The motors may stall at some time. If this happens the set temperature to melt the pellets might be to low.
This setup uses a sieve just before the nozzle. This might at some point get clogged resulting in a too high preasure for the motor to handle. So cleaning the inside of the barrel from past extrusions might be advisable.
In this video I am extruding ABS/PC pellets. The datasheet lists a melting point between 220-280°C. The MFR is 1
