Making French Lavender Soap (Narrated)

Today, we’re making a batch of our French Lavender soap. This soap is colored with alkanet root, which we have specially imported from Pakistan. Alkanet was used for some time as the active ingredient in litmus paper. Watch here as the solution’s color changes from sanguine red to deep purple when Chris mixes in the caustic lye solution.
