Restoration Old Knife Sharpener - Honing steel

Hello folks! Today I want to show you my new restoration project. My friend ask me to restore this old knife sharpener which called sharpening honing steel. I like old tools. For me, it’s always a story and an interest. Well, let’s start restoration! With the help of a rust remover, I cleaned the surface, washed, dried and oiled. Next, the main point was not to damage the surface. And I used sandpaper with grit 3000 and solvent, that’s all. I used beech wood and copper rivets for the handle.
