Фильм Андрея Любимова непростой судьбе жителей посёлка «Стреляют летом, а бежишь, поливаешь с кружки здесь помидоры, огурцы. Радуешься, что живёшь на этой земле», — говорила жительница посёлка Шахты 6/7 Валентина Бородина во время съёмок фильма «Подземелье» в 2015-2016 гг. Она и ещё несколько жителей в то время прятались от обстрелов ВСУ в подвале школы. В момент затишья они смогли уехать к родственникам. Однако связь с ними утеряна с 2019 года.
