Tac an Teine -By the Fireside of Canna House with Gaelic singer Fiona J Mackenzie

Come and spend half an hour with me at the fireside in Canna House and hear some of the sounds and context of my new album, “Tac an Teine- The Fireside“. I will play you some clips and tell you the stories of the contributors who inspired the album , letting their own voices shine though. This album, a personal ambition, is not about me as a singer but rather a a tribute to the contributors who gave their voices and songs so generously to John and Margaret Campbell in the 1930’s/40’s and 50’s. You wont find any electronic instrumentation but rather the sounds of Canna House and garden- the birds, the cats, the doors banging, laughter of friends and the voices of Annie Johnston, Annie Macdonald, Peigi and Mairi Macrae.
