Storm of the year in the USA. Giant waves hit California

A series of powerful storms in the Pacific Ocean are driving giant waves onto the coast of California, USA. Waves as tall as telephone poles (about 40 feet) hit San Francisco. Residents in coastal California on Friday cleared flood damage caused by powerful waves that hit the coastline a day earlier and braced for another bout of extreme surf and heavy rainfall forecast for the weekend. The threat of treacherous surf and coastal flooding was linked to a Pacific storm system that also brought heavy downpours across much of the West Coast on Friday evening, coinciding with the latest arrival of exceptionally high tides known as king tides. The seaside city of Ventura, about 65 miles northwest of Los Angeles, felt those dangers Thursday when high surf flooded homes and businesses with seawater, sand and ocean debris. #California #typhoon #rain #usa #flood #weather #sanfrancisco #earthquake #hurricane #disasters #storm #news #floods #waves The channel lists natural disasters such as:
