Ohio’s Best Railroad Street Runner! Huge Freight Train Running In Middle Of Street In Crowded Residential Area. The train did some railroad switching of 2 customers on Ohio short line railroad Belpre Industrial Parkersburg Railroad or BIP. We see them returning southbound on the ex CSX line to Relief, Ohio. BIP is Ohio’s newest railroad, having started last year on May 4, 2020 on 48 route miles that runs from Parkersburg, West Virginia to Belpre, Ohio with a line to Relief, Ohio also. The line from Parkersburg, West Virginia to Belpre, Ohio is ex Baltimore And Ohio Railroad and use to run from Washington, D.C. through Cincinnati and on to St Louis. Amtrak use to run on this line and I rode Amtrak on this route from Cincinnati to Washington D.C. back in 1979. The line west of Belpre to Greenfield was abandoned by CSX in the 80s.
