The Golden Drum Of Chance! Aka Dublin Sweepstake (1932)

Full title reads: “Dublin. The Golden Drum of Chance! Here’s how your ticket, if you were one of the lucky ones, was drawn.“ Dublin, Eire, Southern Ireland, Republic of Ireland. Shot of girls dressed as horse race jockeys stand on a stage under a banner which reads: “Tattenham Corner“. Behind the jockeys are a row of nurses. They are there to assist in the drawing of the tickets in the Irish national lottery or sweepstake. A man in the middle of the stage is reading from a piece of paper. Pan, showing the painting of race horses on the canopy above the stage. C/U pan along the painting of the horse race showing the details. Nurses sit along side the large drum from which the sweepstake winners will be picked. As the drum stops they reach in to select numbers. A man in uniform gathers in the numbers from the nurses.
