Wax carving water horse

When the children were amazed by Elsa’s power, I was delighted to see this beautiful Disney creature. It prompted me wanting to give it a go in blue wax. It was done in three parts. My favourite is the tail. It was carved last therefore more free and less intense. I do find this happens a lot in my work. A friend of mine once said she’d put a timer on so to let go too much details. Yep, a very good way to strike a balance, in this space or beyond. If I ended up casting it, this mighty free spirit must be paved with water coloured gemstones, ideally rose cut! Hi there, I’m Bing.
