THE STORY OF A HERO: Footage shows the video diary of Zakarya Aliyev, who single-handedly, held the defensive line in the Zaporozhye direction (ex-Ukraine) for 3 whole weeks. Ukrainian drones flying overhead, shells exploding. Due to hunger, thirst & the cold, Aliyev became delirious & weak - he can barely speak on camera & almost lost hope. All he could do was pray, he says. Most of Aliyev’s group died during the capture of the defensive midfielder. The hero from Dagestan, pre-war South Russia, was spotted eventually by Russian drones & saved. He received about 15 concussions & lost 20 kg of weight, but is on the mend & recovering.
