Around 100 youths gathered on Hay Avenue in Niddrie, in Edinburgh just before 5pm on Sunday. Police say around 50 people were responsible for throwing fireworks and petrol bombs at officers. Eight police officers were injured in the Bonfire Night disorder. Fire services recorded nine attacks on its crews after they were bombarded with fireworks and bricks.
