What are hemorrhoids / piles | symptoms, Diagnosis and Treatment

Hemorrhoids or piles which are locally called “bawaseer”. They occur in last and second last part of our digestive system means rectum and anus. Sometimes, due to some reasons, pressure exerts on small blood vessels or veins of our rectum and anus cause them to swell, resulting in severe pain in the affected area and bleeding also occurs in some cases. This condition is called piles or hemorrhoids. About 75% of Indian population is affected by hemorrhoids. While exact percentage of so called “bawaseer” is still unknown in Pakistan. Doctors recommend warm bath and high-fiber diet to treat hemorrhoids. While in some cases, hemorrhoids are removed through physical procedures. Let’s know why and how hemorrhoids form.
