2025 Toyota Crown - Imposing Sport Coupe Sedan!

Thanks: Kendall Toyota Location: 2025 Toyota Crown Starting at $42,575 Highs: Lexus-like interior, Platinum model’s extra power and acceleration, Hybrid powertrain makes it more fuel-efficient than most rivals. Lows: Polarizing styling, upgraded JBL stereo lacks richness, Toyota badge isn’t a luxury badge. Verdict: Toyota’s flagship sedan offers a surprising amount of luxury for the price but its unique design guarantees it remains a niche player. Overview Since its Toyota badge doesn’t give it the gravitas to compete with cars from BMW, Genesis, and Volvo, the 2025 Crown sedan instead relies on its uniquely-tall design and raised suspension to attract attention from car shoppers. Its styling is either odd or hella cool depending on your tastes, and its higher ride height is designed to appeal to the niche of customers who want an SUV’s tall stance with a traditional sedan form. Think of the Crown as the sedan analog to the Subaru Outback station wagon. Once inside, you’ll find yourself in a premium cabin that wouldn’t look out of place in a Lexus, with quality materials and a restrained design. All Crowns are hybrids, and most models come with a 236-hp powertrain, which surprised us with 42 mpg in our highway fuel-economy testing. To uncork the Crown’s max performance, though, go with the top-spec Platinum trim, which swaps in a 340-hp hybrid system with a turbocharged four-cylinder. It’s less fuel efficient, but way quicker. What’s New for 2025? The Crown lineup spawns a dark Nightshade trim for 2025, which swaps the car’s usual chrome exterior trim bits for black accents. The Crown Nightshade is available in only two colors—a moody blue-gray called Storm Cloud and Black—both with a black leather interior and matte black 21-inch wheels. Elsewhere in the lineup, heated and ventilated front seats are now standard, as is a heated steering wheel. The top-spec Platinum model gains a head-up display. Pricing and Which One to Buy The price of the 2025 Toyota Crown starts at $ and goes up to $ depending on the trim and options.
