Roland JD-800 Custom Sounds

A short demo of the sounds from a custom set I built up over the years. For me, the JD-800 is in a league of its own. It’s all about the sound. Not the sounds (which are amazing), but the SOUND, which is crystal-clear, CD-quality stuff, and which cuts through anything. I bought this alongside the Korg Wavestation in the 1990s, and loved them both for different reasons. Some of the JD’s sounds (e.g. Swimotion) rival the motional complexity of the Wavestation, but it is the quality of the sound that sets the JD apart, at least for me. As usual, my favourites are marked with an asterisk (*).
