Scottish Cup Semi-Finals - Clyde V. Aberdeen (1955)

Edinburgh. Start of the Scottish Cup semi-final football match between Clyde and Aberdeen. SV. Captains tossing. GV. Aberdeen kick off in dark shirts. SV. Play in the Clyde half until a long clearance by Robertson sends McPhail chasing out to the wing. Young attempts overhead clearance, which doesn’t come off. McPhail cuts in and runs after the ball but Caldwell, a last minute choice, is covering him. STV. Crowd. SV. Clyde still attacking (lead for corner and goal which follows). SV. Crowd. LV. Divers taking a corner. Martin, the Aberdeen goalkeeper leaps high to collect, drops the ball and after a scramble Ring shoots and scores. Pan, Clyde players congratulating. SV. Crowd. SV. Clyde still attacking through winger Ring but Smith tackles and gains possession. He clears up field. SV. Aberdeen attacking, force Hewkins to dive. He scoops the ball back just on the goal line. Top view, crowd. SV. Aberdeen still attacking, a free kick is taken, it goes across goal to Buckley who shoots and scores at close range.
