GAME RECAP: Penguins at Maple Leafs () | Battle in the North

The Penguins continued along with their road trip heading to Toronto to take on Auston Matthews and the Maple Leafs north of the border. Former Penguin Zach Aston-Reese opened up the scoring in the first for Toronto but Evgeni Malkin would answer back for Pittsburgh right before intermission. Jason Zucker carried that momentum into the second as he put the Penguins up 2-1 just one minute into the period. Toronto would answer back in the last moments of the period as well to make things even. The third period of play was all Pittsburgh though. Brock McGinn gave the Penguins the go-ahead goal early into the period and Jake Guentzel would hit home the empty-netter to seal this one for Pittsburgh as they went on to win their second straight contest, 4-2.
