Strongmen take the Nicol Stone carry challenge during 2019 Donald Dinnie Games in Scotland

British strongmen compete in the Nicol Stone Carry challenge during the Donald Dinnie day Games, the gathering III at Potarch Bridge in Aberdeenshire, Scotland on Sunday 4th August 2019. This event requires the athlete to pick up two ringed stones similar to the Dinnie Stones and walk with them as far as possible. The stones are the same height as the legendary Dinnie Stones and weigh 138kg & 114kg. Competitors may put them down once but must restart within 10 seconds. The competitors were Neil Elliott (Scotland), Matt Jones (England), Lewis McLuckie (Scotland), Jamie Gorrian (Scotland), Dean Kent (England), Andrew (Andy) Cairney (Scotland), Mark Haydock (England) and finally Sean Peatfield (Scotland).
