“Cool Cat” was released in 1982 on the Hot Space album by Queen. Written by Freddie Mercury and John Deacon, the lyrics describe a person who is confidant, enjoys life and doesn’t care what others think because they are comfortable in their own skin. The song originally featured backing vocals by David Bowie, however Bowie became unhappy with the end result, requesting that his vocals be removed days before Hot Space was slated to be released.
