AS 21/2 - Tea for Two - 1942 D’Angelico Excel

Hey guys, I’m happy to present another version of the great tea For Two composed by Vincent Youmans in 1924, but this time on D’Angelico Excel from 1942 (last one was AS-21/1 on 1932 Stromberg Deluxe : This time I’ve decided to go full instrumental, but to play also the verse I haven’t played last time. The guitar is strung with nickel strings round wound gauge 13, I’m playing a Dunlop purple pick, and the sound is captured by both a Neumann TLM 103 and a Bluebird. For those who wonders if these guitars are mine, most aren’t but I’ve been lucky to be able to present them on this channel for you to enjoy (a few different private collections in Europe, mainly France). I make a living with my music, but to prevent the spreading of COVID 19 the French President has decided not to allow any concert until mid June (I’ve played less gigs since March 2020 than I usually play in a good month), so If you want to help me : I’ve decided to take a couple of student for online classes so hit me up if you’re interested. Contact and info : acousticstandardsinparis@ I haven’t recorded albums in the style of those acoustic standards, but i have 2 albums on bandcamp with my Django tribute Quartet : Stay safe Romain
