Shizimen Central Business District is located near the Shizimen water area in the southeast of Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province. It faces Macau across the sea and covers an area of square kilometers. It consists of the Wanzi area north of the Modao Gate waterway and the Hengqin area south of the Modao Gate waterway. It is developed and operated by Huafa Group, a state-owned enterprise in Zhuhai. The first phase of the project officially started on June 28, 2010.
