A digital realization of György Ligeti’s work, Poème Symphonique using 100 ’metronomes’ set at random values between 30 and 300 BPM. Each one is also assigned a random phase value.
Like a real pendulum metronome, they lose energy and turn themselves off after so many clicks. The fastest metronomes die out first, leaving behind the slowest metronomes.
