He produced and wrote songs for Sandra Ann née Lauer who started her career in the girl-group Arabesque. There she met Cretu who was keyboarder at that time. With his help Sandra became a big star not only in Germany, but across the mainland of Europe and worldwide, especially in Japan and Brazil.
