Making a Backlit Honeycomb Charcuterie Board

In this woodworking video, I’ll show you how to make an illuminated charcuterie board that glows using epoxy and LED lights. You’ll love this LED honeycomb serving board. This backlit serving board will impress your guests at dinner parties! I cut the hexagons using a homemade hexagon cutting jig and laid them out in a honeycomb pattern laced with epoxy resin. ►HEXAGON JIG video: ►HEXAGON JIG plans: ►MATERIALS USED (affiliate links): · Cherry wood · Epoxy resin · White pigment · LED lights · Tuck Tape · Silicone caulk · Screws · Wood glue · CA glue Activator · Tung oil · Cutting board oil · T knobs ►TOOLS USED (affiliate links): · Drill/Driver · Hot glue gun · Razor blade scraper · MicroZip sander · Push blocks · Strap clamp ►ALL MY TOOLS & GEAR ►PLANS & ONLINE STORE ►Sign up for my NEWSLETTER: project updates, plans, woodworking book of the month and more! ►SUPPORT ME ON PATREON Stickers, discount on plans & more ►Follow me on SOCIAL MEDIA · Instagram · TikTok @diymontreal · Pinterest · Facebook · YouTube ►CHAPTERS 0:00 Cutting hexagons with a jig 1:07 Build resin mold 1:59 Honeycomb layout 3:26 Pour epoxy resin 4:30 Build serving board base/tray 9:41 Demold honeycomb pattern board 10:37 Planing epoxy 12:36 Sanding/finishing 14:14 Illumination with LEDs 15:17 Illuminated charcuterie board reveal ►MUSIC Ask Rufus by Audionautix is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license.
