Siamang / Сростнопалый сиаманг / Symphalangus syndactylus

Video of siamang gibbon foraging on a fig tree. Siamang is a species of lesser apes occuring in Sumatra and Peninsular Malaysia. This video was taken in lowland primary forest of Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park. Siamang in Sumatra is primarily frugivorous meanwhile the subspecies in Malaysia is known to be more foliovorous. Anyway, this animal is endangered.
