VERSION WITHOUT K.K SLIDER’S VOCALS HERE: So excited to have the genre defying prolific song writer K.K. Slider back yet again with us to perform our (socially distant) arrangement of one of Animal Crossing’s greatest hits “Bubblegum K.K.“! I really wanted to take this era of song writing and run with it so I drew inspiration from all kind’s of great arranging/producing styles from that era including Phil Spectors reverb drums, Frankie Valli type lines, Tijuana Brass style trumpets/marimba, some fun Mancini style woodwind doubling, and some common horn figures and rhythms found in motown and other girl groups from the day. Shout out to Animal Crossing sound supervisor Kazumi Totaka for coming up with all the different genres of music that we hear from this incredible sound track!
