oakland based band leader and manager barry carlos was in a local popular band ’the night caps’ enjoying success with plenty of shows under thier belt since the late ’50’s but the beatles brought about a huge change in how bands sounded and he realised the bands image and music needed to be changed the name to ’peter wheat and the breadmen’ and sold out a local show they self promoted and decided that management/producing etc was his future so he looked around and found a band ’the tarantelles’ swapped names and booking’s came flooding in for the weird sounding were : roger kennedy/bob birdwell/barry houk/chuck tedford and terry some important shows coming up with ’paul revere and the raiders’(santa rosa & oakland..) he realised a single was needed for promo purposes so into ’amber studios’ at nearby haywood where bill whittley recorded two tracks ’baby whats new/all the time’ in march ’ have ’baby whats new’ already on the channel but not its flip side ’all t
